double buggy
If you're looking for a light double stroller, weight and folded size are the most important aspects to consider. When you are not using it, select one that is easy to handle and compact. This makes it easier to store in your car trunk and to navigate through airport security and foreign roads.
The best lightweight strollers have a simple, easy fold that lets them stand up on their own. This helps reduce stress on the parent's body. Many strollers have multiple seating configurations and some are able to accommodate car seats for infants.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
Designed for families on the move. Lightweight, with a simple one-hand compact fold. The front suspension and all-terrain wheel, as well as the multi-position reclining seats allow for children to weigh up 50 pounds. The trays for parents and children and a large storage basket and a 3-tiered canopy with the peekaboo window offer maximum sun protection.
The Cloud has one of the lowest scores in our tests of quality due to its thin feel with hard plastic seats, and a design that seems dated. It's also costly compared to other lightweight strollers which is why it's not the best choice when you're looking for a low-cost option.
It's not the tiniest stroller, but it's got enough features that it is worth considering. The swiveling front wheels make it easy to maneuver on flat surfaces and it is able to jump over curbs with ease, unlike many other lightweight strollers that diverge when trying to accomplish the same thing. The Cloud's low handle is a problem however, as it's at knee height, and not adjustable. It's difficult to push it while your legs are dangling in this manner. And the absence of padding doesn't make it any easier.
During our testing, we discovered that the Cloud was easy to set up and open. It's a little more difficult to close, however; you have to slide a slider and then pull a big white button to get it to collapse. It can be quite frustrating especially if you're trying to manage kids while doing it.
The Cloud comes with a small but deep storage basket. It can fit a large diaper bag. It's a bit narrow, though it's likely that you'll need to put something in it for the back to take it out. The Cloud includes two tray for parents and children with two cup holders each however both are too narrow to hold larger cups or bottles.

Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight is a lightweight double stroller with a minimalist style that's ideal for travel. It's light at 18 lbs (lighter than some single strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also has independently reclined seats, large all-weather SPF 50 sun visors with peekaboo windows and extra-large under-seat storage bags. The visors are adjustable to fit kids of various heights. It also comes with a one-step linked parking brake, and is Disney-size approved.
The swivel wheels of the Jeep are also great to maneuver over bumps and uneven surfaces. However, this stroller doesn't accept car seats and therefore your children must be at least 6 months old and have solid neck control to ride in the front seat. The stroller comes with three panels of sun canopy, and each seat comes with its own cupholder and snack tray.
Valco Baby Snap Duo Trend is another incredibly lightweight stroller with a side by side. It's heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus, at 23 lbs. However, it's tinier and smaller (26.5 inches wide!) and comes with a lot of luxe features that make it perfect for travel. It folds easily and very easy to move around. It also fits easily in overhead compartments as well as trunks of airplanes.
The Joovy Kooper X2 tri-folds and is ultralight, like the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double or Mountain Buggy Nano Duo. It is similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS but has a few key differences. It's also slightly more expensive, but it offers better maneuverability and has an extra sun canopy. It also comes with a handy carry strap that can hold children as heavy as 44 pounds per seat.

Joovy X2 Kooper
The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent option for parents who want a lightweight double that can hold two kids. Its sling style seats are comfortable and offer the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows kids to sit together. In contrast to other strollers that are side-by-side, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat that's ideal for napping. The recline mechanism is simple to operate but it isn't completely flat. Children who are taller may find that they have an unbalanced leg when they sit in a reclined position. It also has a large canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking out sun than other options in our review of the top double strollers.
The stroller is lightweight enough to to move through door frames. This was a major issue with other models we have tested. It folds quickly and the handlebars are close to the ground, making it easy transport. The only downside is the small storage space. When full of stuff for the kids, it feels squeezed.
